Jean-François Trecco is a driven entrepreneur, seasoned early-stage investor and experienced strategic, operations & finance advisor with 27+ years of professional experience. JF is co-Founder and Managing Partner of BluKap, a specialist VC firm dedicated to Ocean biotechnology, biology’s next frontier. Since 2015, JF has been acting as non-executive Director to a select number of alternative investment funds. In this capacity, he is registered by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority to carry on the business of a director pursuant to the Director Registration and Licensing Law. He spent 9 years creating & growing innovative food & catering services for French corporates. Prior to that, he worked 15 years as an M&A banker at JPMorgan in the European Financial Institutions & Government (FIG) team focusing on French & Belgian banks and European asset managers. He also a member of Mer Angels, where he acts as treasurer and in charge of the Mediterranean Pole. He graduated from ESSEC in 2000 with a Major in Finance and Law.
